Unbelievers to Believers

Unbelievers to Believers
1) Unbelievers spend a lifetime in vanity
Psa 78:32 For all this they sinned still, and believed not for his wondrous works.
Psa 78:33 Therefore their days did he consume in vanity, and their years in trouble.
[vanity]=unsatisfactory-or-all for nothing
If we work all our lives, however long that may be, and gain in possessions, house-cars-bank accounts etc. ,and don’t tend to spiritual matters, all is for nothing or vanity. Jesus tells us:Mat 16:26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

2) Unbelievers are already condemned
Joh 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
[condemn]=: to say in a strong and definite way that someone or something is bad or wrong :
to give (someone) a usually severe punishment:
to cause (someone) to suffer or live in difficult or unpleasant conditions
You may say, that you don’t think that just because you don’t believe what the Bible says, that you would be eternally condemned!
But what you believe-or-don’t believe does not change the TRUTH of the WORD OF GOD!
Are we so grounded in our unbelief that we want to try to destroy the belief of others because we don’t believe the TRUTH?
Tit 3:11 Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself.
[subvert]=:  :  to pervert or corrupt by an undermining of morals, allegiance, or faith
So if we’re condemned it it of our own doing!

3) Unbelievers will die in their sins
Joh 8:24 I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.
When we die we have chosen where we will spend eternity! If we die unbelievers we choose to spend all eternity in the lake of fire-or- if we die as believers we choose to spend all eternity in Heaven

4) Unbelievers shall be judged by God’s Word in the last day
Joh 12:48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.
[judge]=to determine-or-to sentence to

We need to understand that when we stand before GOD in the day of judgment, we are judged according to GOD’S WORD, and not man’s understanding!

Again as we seen previously our sentence for unbelief is to be condemned

5) Unbelievers are blinded by the god of this world
2Co 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
[god of this world]=satan-unbelievers will listen to the lies of satan, before the truth of GOD]

[blinded]=obscured=difficult or impossible to know completely and with certainty

6) Unbelievers will be classed with sinners in eternity
Rev 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
[unbelievers]=to be without Christian faith
7) What does it take to change from unbelief to belief? A change of heart
Eze 36:26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.
Eze 36:27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.
[heart]=the will or intellect
To have a changed-or-new heart we need to be spiritually able to hear God speak to us, we need to be still-be silent
Psa 46:10 Be still, and know that I am God:

8)With a change of heart we begin to search for GOD
Jer 29:13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.
[seek]=to ask, or a desire to inquire of
[find]=to meet-or-to acquire
Having a changed heart, we have an urge-excitement-zeal in us Rom 10:2 For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.
[zeal]= : a strong feeling of interest and enthusiasm that makes someone very eager or determined to do something
9)Having now finding GOD, what must I do to recieve God’s gift of Salvation?
Act 2:37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?
Act 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
[Repent]=reconsider, to think differently
[Baptized]=to make whelmed :to turn (as a vessel) upside down usually to cover something :to cover or engulf completely

10) and finally, to grow spirtually in our walk with GOD, with the teaching and preaching of our Pastor: and to do that we attend church regularly, read our Bible, pray with and for one another, and have fellowship
and exhort[which is to invite/comfort] one another
Heb 10:23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
Heb 10:24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
Heb 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

In church attendance: we fellowship/encourage one another, pray for one another

In church attendance: we are being re-energized

In church attendance we are: being re-filled with the spirit

Is God trying to speak to you? If so open up your heart to Him, and say yes. It is very important for us to fully obey the Lord and His Word. The more we hear His voice the more we will understand His voice. Many times the Word goes against the grain of our flesh, but we must fully obey the Word of God. Allow the Lord to speak to you today, and encourage you by His Word. We can find that place of fulfillment in Him through His Word, and by obeying His Word.
