Exhorting the Bretheren
first we need to plant the seed [to show our self a freind]
Mat 13:3 And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow;
not every seed that is planted brings fort fruit, the ones that do show life we nurture
Pro 18:24 A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.
we can witness to others when we make friends out side our church family
Pro 22:2 The rich and poor meet together: the LORD is the maker of them all.
Rom 12:10 Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;
once nurtured, there need to be a birth
Joh 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
with that new birth, we receive a new heart/spirit
Eze 36:26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.
with the new birth, we are a new creation
2Co 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
2Co 5:18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
having been given the ministry of reconciliation we need to be rooted in the WORD of GOD
Col 2:6 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:
Col 2:7 Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.
Col 2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
Col 2:9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
Col 2:10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
to continue to grow, besides the teaching of THE WORD, we also need the fellowship of the christian brother’s
Gal 5:13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
Heb 13:1 Let brotherly love continue.
with the fellowship, we support one another
Rom 15:1 We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.
Rom 15:2 Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification.
and we pray for one another
2Co_5:20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.
Col_1:9 For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
Jas_5:14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
Jas_5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
and finally, we grow spirtually in our walk with GOD with the teaching and preaching of our Pastor: and to do that we attend church regularly, read our Bible, pray with and for one another, and have fellowship and exhort[invite/comfort] one another
Heb 10:23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
Heb 10:24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
Heb 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
