The Tree Fold Duty of Life

The Three Fold Duty of Life

1) “Appropriation”=(taking)-to take possession of
Cup of Salvation
Psa 116:13 I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the LORD.
[salvation]=deliverance-or someone that is saved
Taking the cup of Salvation, meaning the we have been delivered or saved from the life of sin that we were in

Instruction
Pro 4:13 Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is thy life.
[instruction]=a statement that describes how to do something-or teach doctrines
Now that we are saved from our previous life of sin we can take instruction on how to grow in our spiritual walk with God

Divine Strength
Isa 27:5 Or let him take hold of my strength, that he may make peace with me; and he shall make peace with me.
[strength]=a defence, a fortress
We’ve built up walls around us of defence, only God can take hold of them and bring them down, and make peace with us

All of life’s opportunities
Luk 19:13 And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.
[Occupy]=to busy oneself with-that is to trade
The Water of Life
Rev 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
[take]=to accept or to receive

2) “Formation”=(making)-the act of forming or creating something

After the divine plan
Exo 25:40 And look that thou make them after their pattern, which was shewed thee in the mount.
[make]=to do, to prepare, or to accomplish

A perfect example
Joh 13:15 For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.
[do]=to commit, or to work

Life to be transformed=to be changed, not conformed=to keep the same pattern
Rom 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
2Co 3:18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
[changed]=transformed
When living in the sinful life of the world, we are conformed to that way of living and thinking, but when we turn our life over to God we are transformed or changed to everlasting life

Danger of old [ideals]=someone or something that is believed to be perfect
1Pe 1:14 As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:
1Pe 1:15 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;
[manner]= the way that a person normally behaves especially while with other people
[conversation]=behavior

3) “Donation”=(giving)=to put into the possession of another for his or her use

With a free hand
Mat 10:8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.
[give]=bring forth-commit-deliver or to minister
As we have received of God’s grace, we are to minister the same to those in need of it

Give or lose
Mat 16:25 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.
[save]=to protect or preserve
[lose]=to destroy or perish
We need to decide of we are going to deny, or to stand with Christ!

The blessedness of,(giving)
Act 20:35 I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.
[blessed]=bringing pleasure, contentment, or good fortune

As stewards
1Pe 4:10 As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
[gift]=religious qualification-or miraculous faculty

So in closing, we have received the gift of GRACE from God, it is now our duty to minister that same gift to others, that they may also know and receive of that same gift!
