Death and Resurrection
We all have an appointment with death; however, the promise of the resurrection of the dead gives us hope beyond this temporary world.
The Bible tells us in the book of Hebrews, that there is a day for us to die.
Heb 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
But the Bible also tells us there is a promise of the of the resurrection of the dead to those that are in Christ.
Psa 49:15 But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave: for he shall receive me. Selah.
Hos 13:14a I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death:
Joh 6:40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.
As noted earlier, that we all have an appointed time that we will die, but also that if we have received the gift of Salvation, if we have repented of our sins, been baptized in Jesus Name as stated in Acts chapter 2
Act 2:37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?
Act 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
If we do as instructed in Acts 2:37-38 we have that promise of that resurrection of eternal life.
