Confidence, Thanksgiving, and Living Letters

Confidence Thanksgiving and Living Letters

The life we live should be a life of Confidence in God and Thanksgiving to Him. It is a living letter to all.

1) Confidence in God [Confidence]=The act of confiding, trusting, or putting faith in; trust; reliance; belief;
Here are some examples of having confidence in God that are found in the Bible

Psa 20:7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.
Isa 12:2 Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.
Hab 3:18 Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.

Assurance=The state of being assured; firm persuasion; full confidence or trust; freedom from doubt; certainty
And here are some examples of assurance

1Jn 2:3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
1Jn 3:19 And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him.
1Jn 4:13 Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.

2) Thanksgiving to Him [thanksgiving]=: a prayer that expresses thanks to God
Here we have some examples of thanksgiving to God

1Ch 16:8 Give thanks unto the LORD, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people.

Eph 5:20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;

Col 3:17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

3) Living letters to all
We are a living letter to all by living a consistant life

Jas 3:13 Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.
2Pe 3:11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

We are a living letter to all by the way we live unto God

Rom 6:11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Gal 2:19 For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God.

In conclusion the confidence we have in God, and in the way we offer up thanksgiving to God, and in the way we live for God is a witness to those that are unbelievers, to them that have never heard the gospel of Jesus, may we be a true witness of God to them.
